Last 20 April 2014 was our flight here in UAE. It was an 8 hour plane ride through Etihad airways. We left the NAIA Terminal 1 at around 7pm. I cant help but write it here how terrible our airport is. There was no aircon and it is really so hot (“kawawa naman si eliane”).
Riding the Etihad airways was a good experience, the food was nice, the space was a little bit small, the staffs are very friendly. We had a great time.
I was so happy that my Eliane slept on the whole duration of our flight.
We arrived at Abu Dhabi international airport at around 12:40 a.m. of the 21st of April 2014. We were transported to Al Ain by rented car provided by Etihad , it was a 2 hour ride.
We stayed at our rented house in Al Jahili. The place is not that big but can accommodate the three of us (Me, Eliane and my husband).
We were about to cancel our flight going here because of the news on MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome), you see, my husband is working as an Emergency Medical Technician in Al Ain. And news about his colleague acquiring MERS made us think a million times if we were to stay here. Finally, because of the news that the MERS virus has been contained, we decided to go here, knowing that we will be together.
My next post will be how we’ve managed to be here in Al Ain.
